National Trails Day is June 6th

National Trails DayThe annual National Trails Day celebrates trails of all types, and the Prairie Spirit Trail is one of the star attractions in the Sunflower State! This year, National Trails Day falls on June 6th.

With 52 miles to explore, there are plenty of opportunities to get our and enjoy nature.

In Iola, the Southwind Rail Trail is hosting a birthday celebration, with a Friday group ride on both the Prairie Spirit and Southwind, and a bike repair clinic on Saturday.

In addition to riding, you also have a chance to earn a prize. The American Hiking Society is running a National Trails Day 2015 Photo Contest. Winners can bring home some great swag!
