Kanza Park is an Ottawa city park features a one-mile hard-surfaced walking trail nearly a mile in length, and and is lit with salvaged Victorian fixtures from early 20th Century Main Street. The Prairie Spirit Trail runs right next to this park, providing relaxing park scenery. Adjacent to the parking lot, there is a work out section of the park, with about a dozen different stations for exercising. The park also features an 18-hole disc golf course.

From Kanza Park it is a quick ride north to the Old Depot Museum. As you are in town, you will find yourself stopping numerous times for the cross traffic at streets. Once you hit the downtown area, the trail itself becomes part of Walnut Street. Just continue straight ahead and you will reach the bridge over the Marais de Cygnes river to the Old Depot Museum. Heading south it it a very quick jaunt to the Trailhead at the edge of town, with a short path that leads to a picnic tale, a pay station and a water fountain.
