Lake Garnett is located adjacent to the Prairie Spirit Trail on the northeast side of Garnett. Also known as “North Lake Park”. The lake was a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) project in the 1930s, and included a 48-acre lake, two shelter houses, restrooms, a football stadium and swimming pool. A designated wilderness campsite (tent camping or no hookup) is located within the north side camping area. Cost for visitors is $9 per unit per night, via an on-site self-pay station. Camping is first come/first serve.
