Prairie Spirit Trail Bicyclist Dies Near Carlyle

In early May, one of our most faithful riders passed away. Stan Scoville died riding between Iola and Colony on the Prairie Spirit Trail, as he did nearly daily.

If you’ve ridden the Prairie Spirit Trail yourself during recent years, you’ve doubtless come across Stan at one point or another.

Stan Scoville, 69, of Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, May 2, 2015, doing what he enjoyed most, riding his bicycle on the Prairie Spirit Trail.
