New Trail Connection Coming to Iola

The Prairie Spirit Trail recently hosted the Bicycling Family, a family of four on a one-year 7000-mile bicycle tour from Quebec to the Panama Canal.
Iola earned top honors in the 2015 Trail Town Challenge, besting Garnett, Ottawa, and the other communities along the Prairie Spirit Trail.
Heads up: The City of Iola is resurfacing the paved parking lot at Cofachique Park, and the loose rock can be a hazard for bicycle traffic.
In addition to the new wayfinding signage recently installed in Iola, the city also has a new decorative archway over the Prairie Spirit Trail where it crossed US-54 highway.
Iola has recently added new signs along the Prairie Spirit Trail. The new signs provide visitors with information to help find services, amenities, and major landmarks.
