According to Trail Manager Trent McCown:
“With the drought we are in the trail surface is starting to get some cracks as the ground dries and pulls apart. The trail staff will be monitoring and filling the cracks, but initial work will only be on the cracks in the center travel portion of the trail. Edge cracks will be filled later on in an effort to concentrate on maintaining the travel lane.
With continued heat and drought many of these will reopen as the ground continues to dry out. Visitors should just be aware of the trail surface when riding.”
Keep an eye on the ground so you don’t get a wheel wedged in there.
